This is us celebrating Cathy’s birthday with all of kids. Back row – Jason – Chris – Nick (our 3 sons) Couch – Andrea – Cathy holding Isaac – Bill – Sara Floor – Avonelle – Zander The only one unable to join us was Chris’ girlfriend Remi. They are the reason that Cathy and I keep this company going. Spending time as a family is what it is all about for us. It hasn’t always been easy, especially with three of us in the business, but we have worked hard to make it work. From school activities, to college, weddings, and grandchildren. We make time to get together just to be together.

Bill Smithmyer

Bill is a Master Plumber, and Comfort Care Specialist. He started helping his father in the business at the age of 6, helping to shine fittings, carry parts and hold the flashlight. With over 50 years of experience in plumbing and HVAC, he now heads the business as our Comfort Care Consultant. Whether you are renovating a bathroom or kitchen, replacing your heating or AC systems, or have a question about your plumbing or HVAC, he is our “go to” man.

Cathy Smithmyer

Cathy, has been married to Bill for 38 years and started learning the business at the age of 16, while helping out on “work dates”. As manager of the business for the past 14 years, she has implemented changes such as up front pricing, maintenance agreements and on site invoicing. These changes have allowed the business to grow and keep up with technological advances, while maintain the customer service that is the core of the business.

Jason Smithmyer

Journeyman Plumber, HVAC Installer and Service Tech, has grown up in and around the company business. After pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Penn State, while completing his Plumbing Apprenticeship requirements, he joined the company full time in 2007. The fourth generation to embrace the profession he brings the technical expertise needed to keep up with the advancing HVAC technology.

Danelle Crist also came to us from the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center, but as an adult student. Danelle brings us her experience from working in a nursing home and the rather unique experience of working on a cruise ship around the Hawaiian islands. She loves to travel, spend time with her family and being involved with community theater and other community enterprises.
