About Us

Smithmyer Plumbing & Heating has been part of the Altoona community since 1946, built on a foundation of honesty, quality, and teamwork. What began with Clarence “Smitty” Smithmyer has carried through four generations– from brothers Earl and Ed, to Bill and Jim, and now to Bill Smithmyer as managing member of the LLC.

Though the name has changed over the years, our mission never has: to provide every customer with the information and options they need to make informed decisions, and to deliver the quality service everyone deserves. For more than 75 years, our family has taken pride in serving our neighbors, earning trust through generations of dependable, skilled work.
